#Museveni's swearing-in ceremony

President Yoweri Museveni has been sworn in for a new five-year term at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds. Guided by Chief Justice Dr. Flavian Zeija, the President received the instruments of power in a ceremony attended by several African heads of state and international dignitaries.

President Museveni and DRC’s Félix Tshisekedi have signed new agreements on trade, security, and infrastructure at State House Entebbe. The leaders met ahead of a State Dinner at Munyonyo and Tuesday's presidential inauguration at Kololo.

U.S. President Donald Trump has sent Senior Bureau Official Nick Checker to represent him at President Museveni’s inauguration. During their meeting at State House, Museveni called for an end to raw material exports, urging for African value addition to boost GDP and job creation.
